Just Learn Independent School has its own dedicated Pathways Advisor and provides careers education and opportunities for all students. The programme includes:<\/p><p><strong>Y7:<\/strong>\u00a0All Year 7 students have access to attend a number of assemblies and presentations which help students to start thinking about their future including what qualifications are needed for which careers, the importance of English, Maths, Science and ICT. Students also start to meet guest speakers including higher education professionals.<\/p><p><strong>Y8:<\/strong>\u00a0All Year 8 students are invited to guest speaker assemblies which includes lecturers from universities. There are also a number of assemblies and presentations which help students to start thinking about their future including what qualifications are needed for which careers, the importance of English, Maths, Science and ICT.<\/p><p><strong>Y9:<\/strong>\u00a0In Year 9, students start to explore various sectors and begin their skills builder journey as well as have opportunities for employer encounters.<\/p><p><strong>Y10:<\/strong> In Year 10, students start to plan their individual career. Work experienced opportunities are available for all young people. Student continue to develop of their skills builder and have one to one meetings with our pathways advisor.<\/p><p><strong>Y11:<\/strong>\u00a0To help students decide what they are planning on doing post-16 each student has an individual interview with our onsite pathways advisor that also supports students to apply for post 16 placements. .
