Testimonials

“When I first started at Just Learn, I thought I wasn’t going to like it. But after my first week of being here I liked coming here. Even though I had problems controlling my anger, the tutors at Just Learn tried to help me to control it.

Here at Just Learn, there is a system called friendship chains to inspire students good behaviour. Once we have earned a certain amount of chains, we get a prize or a treat.

Just Learn has helped me improve a lot since I have been here.”

Daniel S. (Student)

“Just Learn have played a pivotal role in raising expectations, aspirations and opportunities for Sutton's young people.  Their dedication and commitment has helped improve outcomes for children looked after and they have  reached out and offered support to many young people whose childhood trauma has resulted in them being difficult to re-engage in education.  Their flexible and 'can do' approach enables bespoke packages to be arranged at short notice with tutors that forge enabling relationships that allow the young people to recommit to their learning.

This supportive and inclusive way of working can be evidenced in exam results, particularly with Functional Skills English and Maths from E1 to L2.   Regular QA reports are sent on a monthly basis.  Their links with local schools and ability to co-ordinate tutoring with school targets and lessons ensure tutors are regularly in touch with specific subject teachers complimenting classroom learning.

Just Learn are always willing to attend strategy and professional meetings to ensure that they have a constant picture of the changing needs and circumstances of the young people on roll with the Virtual School.  This allows them to offer a consistent and positive approach which creates trust and goodwill providing a firm foundation for learning.  This gives the young person consistency and continuity equipping them to go on to meet their educational and soft skill targets and progress to KS3, KS4 and  KS5 with the required GCSE's and Functional Skills accreditations.”

Helen Kay (Sutton Virtual School)

“When I first started at Just Learn, it was good. They helped with lessons like Maths and English. If people have problems, the tutors will help them. The is a careers advisor that helps us to apply to college. They helped me to improve my behaviour and to help my levels go up. If I have a problem in the lesson or if I am stuck, the tutor will help me. I like being in a small class so I can concentrate more and get more help.”

“Just Learn are consistently extremely efficient in terms of turning around referrals with pupils being inducted and often starting within a few days.

Issues that arise are raised immediately for resolution while attendance summaries and pupil outcomes are routinely relayed without the need to request them.

The efficiency, levels of support and inclusivity of the provision are without question resulting in repeated use despite an often problematic cohort.”

"Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you all for being so welcoming and accommodating to myself and my two guests Maureen and Natasha from The Prince’s Trust International this morning. They were pleased that they had an opportunity to meet with you and your staff to discuss the delivery and impact of Achieve and were really impressed with the delivery of the Teamwork session and the enthusiastic participation of your young learners as well as taking part in activities themselves! Thank you for your ongoing support of the work that Achieve is striving to work towards and I know that Maureen and Natasha have gone away with new ideas, strategies as well as straws which they are keen to share and put in place in Malta and other countries. Once again many thanks and your support in allowing me to showcase you as one of our Delivery Partners."

"I am delighted that we have been able to develop a working relationship with Jus'T'Learn. This has helped us meet the needs of our Looked After Children through additional JustLearn 1:1 tuition at home, or as an additional session at school. My Colleagues report that Just Learn have been excellent in communicating and responding to requests for tuition for our young people. If there have been any queries or concerns these have been dealt with promptly and pupils feel happy with the support that they are receieving. In Particular, Zarah has been a delight to work with and we know she will always respond to us promptly."

"From the start of what proved to be a very difficult placement with my student who was extremely difficult from the initial interview to the end of the term, I found Just Learn and the entire team to be excelptionally accommodating throughout. The team worked alongside the school and kept me updated almost daily with the endless amount of issues. I found Shaila and all the team members to be professional and co-operative at all times despite the endless challenges that were thrown at them."

Rebecca Jackson - Deputy Head (Chestnut Grove Academy Wandsworth)

"We wanted to write to you to say how pleased we are to have chosen your company to support our 1:1 and small group tuition programme for Year 6. We have found it to be an excellent use of our Pupil Premium funding. Our pupils have rated their lessons with your tutors as ’10 out of 10’ and ‘great fun’. We have found that after one term, the children are already showing significant progress in their Reading, Writing and Maths. Due to the positive impact these sessions are having, we look forward to continuing to work with you and your tutors for the foreseeable future and we highly recommend the service to other schools!"

Ania Majewska - Acting Headteacher (St. Marks Primary School)

“My daughter's English and Maths Jus'T'Learn tutors were patient and friendly. The maths curriculum was carefully researched to ensure what was taught was in line with that of mainstream schools and the English tuition helped ensure that basic grammar rules were fully understood. My daughter found the sessions useful and enjoyable.”

“We discovered Jus‘T’Learn before my son took his Functional Skills and KS3 exam. We were assigned to a tutor who guided my son through the maths topics. The tutor was clear and simple in his explanations and it allowed my son to understand topics easily. The tutor was effective and guided my son through areas he needed help with. My son was successful in all his exams. I recommend their tuition services to parents as they are very helpful.”

Olga Simpson (Parent)

“Firstly, the front of house contact is brilliant!! Every effort is put into accommodating the child's educational needs. There's a true sense of partnership between the school & parent. Both of my girls attended. One, for her 11+ (see her testimonial). She got into her first choice of High school... which isn't easy now days. My other daughter attended in the build up to her GCSE's. She came out of her FIRST lesson & phoned me saying.... he was able to make her “see what it was all about". She achieved ALL 12 of her GCSE's at high grades. It's not just the subjects the learn, it's confidence in their own abilities. Thank you Very much EVERYBODY at Just Learn.”

Angela Nelson (Parent)

"Doing 11+ at just learn really helped me and I learnt a lot by doing it and I enjoyed doing it because my teacher made it fun by not just doing work but putting the work into a fun way and doing 11+ actually got me into my first choice of school."

Deborah Nelson (Student)

"Thank you so much. I got 3 A stars in my GCSE triple science exams!"
